Neil Bergquist is the co-founder and CEO of Coinme, the largest cryptocurrency cash exchange in the U.S., on a mission to increase global financial equality by making digital currency more accessible to everyone. Neil works with his team to build solutions making the buying, selling and managing of cryptocurrencies safe, easy and efficient. Through partnerships with Coinstar and MoneyGram, the company offers the world’s largest bitcoin point-of-sale network with thousands of physical locations. Before Coinme, Neil was director of innovation at Delta Dental of Washington, charged with removing barriers to oral healthcare, and helped organizations form, execute and thrive as an innovation management consultant with Point B. In his role as managing director at SURF Incubator, he grew the organization to be the largest technology incubator in the Pacific Northwest, with 250 resident startups and strategic corporate partners including Microsoft, PayPal and Intellectual Ventures. In 2012, Neil coordinated the world’s largest snowball fight, which set the Guinness World Record and raised $50,000 for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. He was recognized in 2014 for his collective entrepreneurial efforts as “Entrepreneur of the Year” by the Washington State Small Business Administration. Neil completed his undergraduate and graduate degree programs at Willamette University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in rhetoric and media studies and Master of Business Administration.
