Matt is the Chief of Staff at Zilliqa. He is the company’s business strategist, overseeing the commercial, technology, and marketing divisions, and is responsible for leading revenue-generating partnerships. He brings eighteen years of enterprise expertise having held key roles across both Europe and South-East Asia. Matt holds a Masters Degree in Information Systems from Robert Gordon University and a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of St. Andrews. Aside from dabbling at being a podcast host, Matt loves sport and in his heyday was a professional footballer, having played a couple of seasons with “East Fife” in Scotland.

The ETH Merge is set to usher in multiple positive changes for crypto, and insiders need to be prepared. In September 2022, the much-anticipated (and repeatedly delayed) Ethereum Merge was realized. The shift from a proof-of-work to a proof-of-stake mechanism is slated to come with multiple benefits, from significantly reduced energy consumption to far higher total transactions per second to lower transaction fees (aka “gas” prices).
